EconomicALLY Disadvantaged
Much of the incredible growth in the evangelical church over the past 25 years has been among the economically disadvantaged. Today, forty percent of all professing Christianslive in poor countries. They need neither a handout nor a Gospel tract. They need to understand the good news of the Kingdom by observing someone living the “Good News” among them. Throughout the scripture, God reveals His heart for the poor. Theirs, He says, “is the Kingdom of God.”
International Teams’ ministry among the economically
disadvantaged seeks to empower others to make long-term change through such ministries as community organizing, health education and leadership development.
